Rockland is located in Plymouth County and is about 20 miles south of Boston. The town has a total area of just over 10 square miles and has a population of less than 20,000. The town was settled in 1673 and at that time it was the northeast section of Abington. It was officially incorporated in 1874, with the name Rockland derived from the town’s rocky nature. Like many of the surrounding towns, Rockland was home to several shoe manufacturers. Today, the town serves as the headquarters for Rockland Trust Company, as well as other major companies. South Shore Roofing Pros is happy to offer their services to the residents of Rockland.
