Duxbury is located on the South Shore, in Plymouth County, and is approximately 35 miles southeast of Boston. There are just under 20,000 residents and the town is the 6th largest cranberry producer in Massachusetts. Mayflower immigrant John Alden was one of the founders of Duxbury. He and his wife, Priscilla, are buried in the Old Burying Grounds on Chestnut Street. The Myles Standish Burial Ground, also known as Old Burying Ground, is the oldest maintained cemetery in the United States, according to the American Cemetery Association.
