The town of Hanson was originally settled in 1632 as part of Pembroke, but became a separate town and was incorporated in 1820. Located in Plymouth County, about 18 miles southeast of Boston, Hanson is part of the South Shore area. Early industries in the town were farming, and bog iron and quarrying. Today, the town is home to less than 15,000 people and is mostly residential, with some farming and cranberry farming. The company Ocean Spray was first started in 1930 by three cranberry growers in Hanson. South Shore Roofing Pros is proud to provide their services to the residents of Hanson.
