Abington is a small town about 20 miles southeast of Boston that celebrated its 300th anniversary of incorporation in 2012. The town has a population of less than 20,000 and much of the town’s population is centered on the eastern side of town.
Ames Nowell State Park, a forested area around Cleveland Pond, is located in the northwestern corner of the town. Cleveland Pond is a man-made pond and is used for non-motorized boating and fishing.
