Scituate is a seacoast town located 25 miles southeast of Boston and has a population of less than 22,000 residents. The town has a total area of 31.8 square miles, of which only 17.6 square miles is land. The Williams-Barker House, now Barker’s Tavern, is believed to have been built in 1634, which would make it one of the oldest buildings in Massachusetts. The town is home to the lighthouse, known as “Old Scituate Light”, on Cedar Point. The lighthouse was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988. The Scituate Historical Society occasionally gives tours, although the keeper’s house is a private residence. Roof Experts South Shore MA is proud to serve the residents of Scituate.
